Out-of-zone applications for the 2025-26 school year will only be available for current 8th-grade students.

• Applications open on February 10th.

• The deadline to apply is February 28th. No applications will be accepted after this date.

If your student is already zoned for the school they wish to attend, you do not need to submit an application.

Dalton Public Schools reserves the right to revoke out-of-zone status if a student violates the Dalton Public Schools Code of Conduct.

If you wish to attend a school outside your transportation zone, you must arrange your own transportation. We strongly encourage you to submit your application within the designated timeframe. Failure to complete the application process by the deadline will result in automatic assignment to your zoned school.

Families will receive notification of school application decisions in late March 2025.

Out-of-District applications for the 2025-26 school year will only be available for students who reside outside the Dalton Public Schools attendance zones.

• Applications open on February 10th.

Acceptance is based on space availability and other district criteria. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

If your student is already zoned for Dalton High School or The Dalton Academy, you do not need to submit an Out-of-District application.

Transportation is not provided for Out-of-District students. Families must arrange their own transportation if accepted.
