Co-Head Coach

Sidney Swantic

Co-Head coach for girls soccer, Sidney Swantic

Coach Swantic is the Girls Head Volleyball Coach and Girls Co-head Soccer Coach. She is in her second year teaching and coaching at TDA. She has been a Dalton native most of her life. She graduated from Southeast Whitfield High School in 2018, where she was the recipient of multiple Division I college softball offers. She was a multi-sport varsity athlete all 4 years of high school, earning numerous region and all-area honors. She was also awarded the Physical Education Scholar Award during her senior year, encouraging her to pursue a career in Physical Education. 

Coach Swantic attended The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) on a Division I softball scholarship. She played outfield there for three years and was part of a Southern Conference Championship-winning team in 2019. After graduating early and obtaining her Exercise Science degree in 2021, she transferred to Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida to work toward a Masters degree in Sport Science. She hit above a .300 average her senior year with an on-base percentage of .446, helping her team win the Sunshine State Conference Championship in 2022. Coach Swantic was a Dean’s List recipient over multiple semesters and was recognized as an Easton/NFCA Scholar All-American for the 2021-2022 academic year. 

Coach Swantic is 24 years old and has no kids. She does have a fur baby named Cash, who is five years old. She is one of six siblings. She is the oldest daughter and finds that being a big sister has made the transition into teaching and coaching to be easy since she already manages her high school-aged siblings. In her free time, you can catch her walking outside, spending time with family, or getting coffee at  Garmony House downtown. Go Pumas!
