Transcripts and Student Records

To comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regarding Disclosure of Education Records and Dalton Public Schools policy, we have compiled the following guidelines:
- If the student is ACTIVE at The Dalton Academy, please contact the school to obtain a copy of records or transcript. ACTIVE student records are provided at a cost of $3 to the student.
- If the student is INACTIVE, and is:
- Under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian may complete the Student Transcript Request Form on the student’s behalf.
- Age 18 & over/ Graduate, the transcript can be requested using the Student Transcript Request Form and payment of a $10 processing fee. The form and payment may be made in-person at the Dalton Public School's Enrollment Center at 101 N Thornton Ave between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or through a mail-in request. All fees must be paid by cash or money order.
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to have someone pick up the transcript for you such as a parent, guardian, spouse or other approved person, you must notify the district. Once a student turns 18, the rights of the parent are transferred to the student and ONLY the student may approve release of records. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you are needing an Official Transcript for school, you will need to request them from the high school and a payment of a $10 processing fee.
