Below the logo, bold red and black text reads: 'THE DALTON ACADEMY Named CSI PROGRESS SCHOOL By the Georgia Department of Education.

Dalton, GA – The Dalton Academy has been identified as a Comprehensive Support & Improvement (CSI) Progress School by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE).

The Georgia Department of Education annually acknowledges schools demonstrating significant academic achievement or improvement. This includes CSI schools that have made notable progress over the past year, former CSI graduation rate schools, Targeted Support & Improvement (TSI) schools that have exited support identification, and Title I Distinguished and Reward Schools. As part of this initiative, GaDOE recognizes CSI Progress Schools that have made measurable improvements within their designated support category.

In 2023, Georgia transitioned to a three-year identification process for CSI schools. To annually celebrate CSI schools making advancements in their improvement plans, GaDOE now designates CSI Progress Schools each year. This year, 52 schools across the state have earned this recognition, including The Dalton Academy. To qualify, schools had to demonstrate at least a 5% increase in the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Content Mastery component score from 2023 to 2024 while also achieving a score of 80 or higher in at least one of the following areas: Progress, Closing Gaps, or Readiness.

The Dalton Academy’s recognition as a CSI Progress School reflects the hard work of their students, educators, and administrators in striving for continuous improvement and success.
