Dalton, GA – Dalton Public Schools is excited to welcome families to its Spring Enrollment Event on Thursday, March 27, 2025, for those seeking to apply for Out-of-Zone, Out-of-District, or Out-of-State enrollment.

The event will take place from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Dalton Public Schools Enrollment Office, located at:

101 N Thornton Ave, Suite 100, Dalton, GA 30720

This special enrollment event is open to:

  • Families new to Dalton Public Schools

  • Current elementary school students seeking a school transfer

  • Current high school students in grades 9–11 interested in transferring to another Dalton Public Schools high school

Please note: Current 8th grade students rising to 9th grade are not eligible to apply at this event. That application deadline closed on February 28, 2025, and notification letters have been sent. For appeal inquiries, families should contact info@dalton.k12.ga.us.

WHAT TO BRING

To help the process go smoothly, families should bring the following documentation for each student:

For families new to Dalton Public Schools:

  • Proof of home address (current utility bill or lease in parent/guardian’s name)

  • Birth certificate

  • Social Security card

  • GA Immunization Certificate (Form 3231)

  • GA Eye, Ear, Dental, and Nutrition Certificate (Form 3300)

  • Parent/guardian picture I.D.

For currently enrolled DPS students requesting a transfer:

  • Proof of home address (current utility bill or lease in parent/guardian’s name)

  • Parent/guardian picture I.D.

CAN’T ATTEND THE EVENT?

If you're unable to attend the March 27 enrollment event, you can still apply by visiting the Enrollment Office during regular business hours. The office will continue accepting applications until the deadline on April 14, 2025.

Current high school students in grades 9–11 also have the option to apply online by visiting www.daltonpublicschools.com/enrollment.
