Dalton, Ga. — Dalton Public Schools will conduct two public hearings to provide residents an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) budget. The hearings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, and Monday, June 9, 2025, at the City Park School Auditorium.
The FY26 budget is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2025, and will remain in place through June 30, 2026. The hearings are part of Dalton Public Schools’ ongoing commitment to transparency and community engagement in the financial planning process.
The budget functions as a comprehensive financial plan that guides all operational aspects of the district, including instructional programs, student services, staff support, and facility maintenance. It is prepared annually and approved by the Dalton Board of Education to ensure alignment with district goals and fiscal responsibility.
