Dalton Public Schools Celebrate Growth and Achievement on 2025 CCRPI Report

Dalton, Ga. — Dalton Public Schools is proud to announce strong performance and measurable growth on the 2025 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), Georgia’s statewide accountability system for evaluating school success and student readiness.

The College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) is Georgia’s comprehensive tool for assessing how well schools prepare students for the future. The CCRPI measures achievement, progress, and readiness across multiple areas, showing how effectively schools help students learn, grow, and prepare for college, career, or military service. Developed by the Georgia Department of Education, the CCRPI provides transparent data to help families and educators understand student progress and school performance statewide.

Under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), every U.S. state must maintain an accountability system that provides information on how well schools are performing. The CCRPI fulfills that requirement in Georgia and satisfies state law for school accountability. It evaluates performance in five key areas:

  • Content Mastery: Student achievement on statewide assessments in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

  • Progress: The amount of academic growth students demonstrate in English language arts and mathematics, as well as how English learners advance toward English language proficiency.

  • Closing Gaps: How well schools meet annual improvement targets for different student groups.

  • Readiness: The percentage of students reading on grade level, student attendance, success in ā€œbeyond the coreā€ subjects, accelerated enrollment, pathway completion, and college and career readiness.

  • Graduation Rate: The percentage of students who graduate within four or five years of entering high school.

Dalton Public Schools’ results this year show significant gains in academic progress, attendance, and overall readiness across grade levels.
